LEITBILD

THE SOUNDTRACK OF OUR LIFE

Communication. Thoughts. Love. It is this triad that plays our lives in very different harmonies. In my work as a mediator, I have specialized in the discords. On what sounds and feels weird. The moments when things get stuck and dissonance prevents us from developing freely. But if we listen carefully and turn our attention to these off-key moments, we can succeed in straightening out the strings and finding our own personal soundtrack. The soundtrack of our life.

Our social interaction is based on communication. To create something, we need to communicate with each other. Otherwise, we would not be able to move our world forward. Communication therefore creates the world we live in. Upstream of communication are our thoughts. They have great power over our feelings, our state of mind and our actions. Ultimately, they influence how we perceive and evaluate the things around us and how we react to them. Our positive and negative experiences and adventures in childhood and adolescence have a significant influence on us.

But there is something much bigger underlying all this. Something that, in our rationally dominated world, we have categorized as a tearjerker, somewhere between dime novels, incense sticks and slow dances.

IT IS LOVE.

It is what really drives us all. It is the creative force that connects us to each other. When we look for recognition, we are actually looking for love. When we celebrate beauty - be it in nature, art or literature - we are actually celebrating love. When we cook for good friends, it is actually love that is put on the table. Love stands in contrast to fear. However, fear is not the opposite of love, but rather the call for it. Just like anger, sadness, pain, shame, judgement and worry, fear is an expression of this call for love. And the only thing that can heal this fear is: love.
